Island Lift Crash: Checkpoints, Odds and Settlement

Island Lift is a demo game where you choose a stake and attempt sequential checkpoints with fixed survival probabilities. Each successful step increases your gross return, while a crash at any stage loses the initial stake.

Checkpoint Mechanics and Survival Odds

You select a whole-coin stake between 1 and 100. Launching the lift deducts this stake once and attempts checkpoint one at 1.25x, which has a 76 percent survival rate. If you survive, you may collect or continue to checkpoint two at 2x, which has a 62.5 percent conditional survival rate. A further continuation to 4x has a 50 percent conditional survival rate. Reaching 4x triggers automatic collection. Each step takes 450 milliseconds, and timing does not affect the outcome. There is no continuous cash-out between these fixed checkpoints.

Gross Return and Fractional Carry

The gross return includes your original stake. The calculation uses the stake multiplied by the multiplier. Any fractional part is kept as carry, which is saved separately and added to the next settlement. For example, a stake of 1 collected at 1.25x credits one whole coin and carries 0.25. A loss credits zero but preserves any existing carry. The carry is never discarded by a loss or a manual refill. This ensures that fractional value is tracked precisely across rounds.

Expected Return and Mathematical Evidence

Exact probability arithmetic gives 95% expected gross return for each fixed target, equivalent to 5% expected loss on the stake. Separate simulations of one million rounds per target gave approximately 95.08%, 95.02% and 95.35%. These are estimates, not guarantees. A 10-coin stake collected at 2x returns 20 coins including the stake, for a net gain of 10 coins.

Wallet Rules and Reload Behavior

The wallet initializes with 1000 coins and zero carry. A manual restore sets the balance to 1000 only when idle and the whole balance is below one. This sets the balance rather than adding to it. Reloading the page abandons an unfinished round without refunding the stake. The deduction is saved immediately upon launch. Controls for stake and launch are blocked during the round. The carry and balance are stored in local storage under the key ph4apk_island_wallet_v1.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my stake if I crash?

The stake is lost immediately. Any fractional carry you held is preserved and added to your next gross settlement.

How is the carry calculated and used?

Saved carry is the uncredited fraction of a coin, in hundredths. It is added to the next gross settlement; a crash preserves it without adding a payout.

Does reloading the page resume my round?

No. Reloading abandons the unfinished round without returning the stake. You must launch a new round.
